Sarvotham has been attempting since 2017 to lessen animal suffering and to encourage a society that is more understanding of animals. More than 2500 kind animals have had their lives saved, and hundreds of them have found sanctuary thanks to their efforts.

Charlies Animal Rescue Centre - CARE is a refuge for animals that was founded in January 2013 with the intention of giving sick and injured street animals in Bangalore city prompt medical attention.

As a volunteer at HAS, you will get the chance to assist in treating ailments and injuries that are unusual in wealthy nations and learn about various veterinary medical philosophies. Additionally, you will be able to go in HAS's animal ambulance alongside personnel who respond to emergency rescue calls and trap and release stray dogs.
A group of schoolchildren formed a kindness club for stray animals in need under the Defence Colony flyover at some point in the 1970s.
