In her heartfelt post, Mendes introduced Magic as the 'newest member' of their family, sharing that they adopted her from California Doodle Rescue. She expressed her excitement about the new furry companion, stating, "I’m crazy about her and excited to share life with Magic with you." The post included a charming video of Mendes and Magic enjoying time together at a park, showcasing the dog's sweet personality as she rested her head on a yoga mat beneath Mendes.

Fans quickly noted that Magic bears a resemblance to Gosling's late dog, George, who passed away in 2016. Mendes acknowledged the similarities, responding to comments about Magic's long fur by saying, "Totally! She's got some Georgie vibes for sure! We're in love!"

The couple's daughters are also adjusting to their new pet. Mendes humorously reflected on past experiences with her children, recalling how they were less than impressed when she tried to show them a scene from her film 'Hitch', where she faced her fear of deep water. She hopes their reaction to Magic will be more enthusiastic.
