Mumbai Police’s distinguished bomb detection dog, Oskar, who discovered explosives in a vehicle near Mukesh Ambani’s residence, Antilia, in 2021, has officially retired alongside his partner, Mylo. Both dogs, Labrador Retrievers, served with the force for a decade and were honored in a ceremony attended by senior officers, including Additional Commissioner Vinit Sahoo.
Oskar, part of the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) since 2014, handled various security tasks, including threat alerts and VIP protection. Mylo also contributed by securing critical locations and responding to suspicious packages. To show gratitude, the police arranged air-conditioned shelter and transportation for the dogs in retirement and established a "wall of fame" as a tribute to their outstanding service.
