Dogsee Chew Secures $8M to Expand Global Reach & Production

Dogsee Chew, a Bengaluru-based natural pet treat company, has secured $8 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Ektha.com, with Shivanssh Holdings and the Poddar Family Office also participating. This latest investment brings the company's total funding to $22 million since its inception in 2015.

How Dogsee Plans to Use the Funds:

The fresh capital will help Dogsee Chew scale operations and expand its footprint. They intend to focus on: 

• Boosting manufacturing capabilities by upgrading existing production units and setting up a new facility
• Expanding internationally by strengthening distribution, especially in the United States and Canada
• Enhancing online sales by improving their Amazon Global Selling strategy to reach more pet parents worldwide

Co-founder and CEO Bhupendra Khanal emphasized the increasing demand for premium, natural pet food. He stated that the investment would allow Dogsee Chew to meet customer needs while reinforcing its position as a leader in the pet treat industry.

A Brand Born from a Pet Parent’s Concern

As per their website, Dogsee Chew started in 2015. It was founded by husband-wife duo Bhupendra Khanal and Sneh Sharma in Bengaluru. The idea came from their personal experience as pet parents to Mowgli, their Golden Retriever. Frustrated with unhealthy commercial treats, they searched for nutritious and safe alternatives.

They soon discovered Chhurpi, a traditional hard yak cheese made in the Himalayas. They realized its potential as a healthy, long-lasting chew and this led to the launch of Dogsee Chew Hard Bars, a signature treat made from cow and yak cheese.

Since then, Dogsee has expanded its product line to include:

• Dental chews – Hard cheese bars for long-lasting enjoyment
• Puffed snacks – Crunchy, bite-sized treats
• Training treats – Made from real fruits and vegetables
